We offer bed and breakfast accommodation in our 19th century farmhouse
located at Estry, Normandy, France.

The large 19th Century farmhouse, Le Grand Pont, is located on the shallow slope of the Alliere valley in 5 acres of largely orchard and grassed land. It sits among a loose cluster of farms collectively called Le Pont Alliere, just south-west of the village of Estry on the Vire / Aunay sur Odon road in the Calvados district of Normandy. The area largely consists of small villages dotted among rolling hills, pasture and woodland.

The oak beamed guest room, the largest bedroom in the house, contains a double bed, a set of bunk beds and a three-piece suite; but further bed space could be provided on request to take up to eight people. It is en-suited with a shower and washbasin.

The eggs and most of the meat and vegetables are produced organically on the property or purchased from local farms, and meals are served at the long table in the large farmhouse kitchen. We will attempt to cater for any special dietary requirements notified in advance.

The cider, while stocks last, is made on the farm (In the late autumn guests are welcome to assist in the process). Further stocks are then purchased from local sources. Pictured above is a mobile distillery producing Calvados (apple brandy) on our premises.
