A lot of our previous guests have driven down from Calais and report that the journey via the main roads (some tolls) is very good and takes about 4-5 hours. The closest ferry port is Caen (60 minutes), but Le Havre (100 minutes) is becoming a popular destination because some very good deals can be had from the ferry providers who use that route.
